Happy listening
On Sunday we had some fantastic coverage on the LBC Food Show. Nutritionist Wendy O’Neill & DJ Bill Buckley sang GOOD OIL’s praises as they completed an on air oil tasting and nutritional review. GOOD OIL’s nutritional value and taste were reviewed and we stood up incredibly well to some very credible competitors and seemed to get a great reaction from listeners too.
We’re going to add the clip to our you tube channel soon, watch this space or our facebook and we’ll get a link up so you can hear the oils debate for yourself.
Have a GOOD week.

A GOOD quick lunch
Just a quick lunch update, having just eaten and thoroughly enjoyed a huge bowl of this quick and easy salad we thought you might like it too, especially as the weather in the UK tomorrow is supposed to be great (this remains to be seen!)
Get a big bunch of watercress, chop some cherry tomatoes and grab a pack of Smoked Mackeral (most of the supermarkets stock this in a vacuum pack.) Add quantities of each to your taste. Sprinkle over some Aspall Apple Balsamic Vinegar and then glug over lashings of GOOD OIL, Original or Mild & Light. Eat!
Voila, a GOOD lunch in less than five minutes (except the run to the shops!)

GOOD summer
The hemp crop is now flowering and we’re gearing up for this years harvest, some more sunshine would help so please keep your fingers crossed for us!
GOOD OIL were proud sponsor of the GOOD OIL Novice Cup at Bicton last week, our Production Co-ordinator Nancy came in third and our founders presented the prizes, unfortunately the weather didn’t hold up for us but spirits were high for the winners anyway.
Take a visit to Delia Smith’s website right now and you’ll see GOOD OIL in the ‘Food News’ section, Mild & Light being noted as an exceptional cooking ingredient “brilliant for general frying and sautéing purposes”. http://www.deliaonline.com/articles/food/food-and-drink-news,2139,AR.html
The Tuk Tuk continues it tour of London, hitting another 12 areas in the next three weeks, if you see it remember to snap your pic and post it on our facebook group to be sent a free sample and 50p off coupon!

Anyway, the GOOD OIL Tuk Tuk will be out and about in London nearly every day in August, if you see it, snap a quick photo of yourself with it and upload to our Facebook group and we’ll send you a free sample of GOOD OIL Original and a 50p off coupon. Keep your eyes peeled as we might be out and about near you!

GOOD for veggies
A post to our blog from Jakob (Thanks!) inspired us to pop up a note for any vegetarians and vegans who might like to try our product… GOOD OIL Original & Mild & Light are suitable for both vegetarians and vegans, our only ingredient is natural cold-pressed hemp seed oil and there are no additives to put the Omega’s in e.g. fish oil.
Rest assured our Omega’s are 100% naturally occurring, and also very efficient to digest, we leave our aquatic friends out of the process!

You’ll notice our competition closed… Booooo! Not to worry – there’s a new one on the way, we like to help you keep happy as well as healthy and so we’ll be offering some pampering prizes so you can look as GOOD on the outside as you feel on the inside. Watch the GOOD blog for announcements.

GOOD times
More on our summer plans, we’ve just confirmed that we will also appear at The Innocent Village Fete on August 2nd & 3rd this year in London. We’ll be in the Farmers Market section. Come and see our shiny little GOOD OIL Tuk Tuk in the sun (we hope) and taste some yummy hemp oil, cold-pressed at Collabear Farm.
See you there and have a GOOD weekend

Out and about
Just to let you know where to catch up with us next, we thought we’d give you a quick update of the coming weeks. If you’re a dietitian or nutritionist and attending The British Dietetic Association Conference on June 17th, we’ll be meeting and greeting some of the folks who advise on what to eat and why to eat it.
We hit the Midlands next with a 4 day stint at C4 Taste of Birmingham, 10th – 13th July. We’re right near the entrance at Stand D1 and we’ll be doling out goodness in the form of tastings and recipes. We’ll also be running a good (or should we say great) competition so don’t forget to pick up a leaflet from one of our good guys and girls at the stand.
